A controlled sequence for bottle transport, cap presentation, progressive tightening and accepted first-off samples.

Setup sequence

Build the format from stable bottle transport outward.

A repeatable spindle-cap setup starts with the filled bottle, conveyor and guides before the tightening wheels are adjusted. Establish the bottle path and gripper-belt control, then prove cap presentation and only then bring the spindle stages into progressive contact.

Use representative filled bottles and production closures. Empty containers can hide bottle spin, distortion, top-heavy behaviour and transfer problems that appear with the finished pack.

Record before the run

  • Bottle and cap reference, supplier and batch.
  • Conveyor, guide and gripper-belt settings.
  • Cap-chute height, release point and thread-start condition.
  • Spindle positions and the agreed quality method.
  • Approved first-off sample and changeover record.

Challenge variation

Include normal bottle and cap variation rather than only ideal samples from one case.

Test recovery

Stop with realistic bottles and caps in the line, then verify a controlled restart without collision, double release or missed closure.

Save the format

Record settings, sample references and authorised changes so the next changeover begins from a proven condition.
